Portraits

Portrait tattoos often carry huge personal meaning; making choosing the right artist that much more significant. It's the focus on proportion, dynamics, contrast and the finer details that bring portraiture to life - Taking the time to make sure each piece translates perfectly from photograph to skin.

Portraiture has always held a very special place in my heart. From pencil drawing and oil painting to tattooing, I’ve always been fascinated by the challenge of capturing not just someone’s likeness, but the character, emotion and story behind a face.

Throughout my career, I’ve spent countless hours studying the different eras, techniques and styles of portraiture, taking something from each one and allowing those influences to shape my own artistic journey. I’m constantly learning, experimenting and looking for ways to grow, because I believe there is always something new to discover as an artist.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to learn from some of the UK’s finest realism tattoo artists, and their knowledge, guidance and experience have had a huge influence on me and the way I approach my work. I continue to attend seminars and study with other artists several times a year, always striving to push myself further and refine my craft.

For me, tattooing is more than simply creating an image on skin. It’s about the trust someone places in me to create something deeply personal that they’ll carry with them for the rest of their life. That responsibility is something I never take for granted, and it’s a huge part of why I love what I do.

Ive always been a perfectionist with my work, but with portraits even more so. Whether it's a family member, a celebrity or a pet, I put my everything into making sure it carries a perfect likeness. With something this personal, getting it right is everything.
